5 Deep Push Back Racking is a high-density pallet storage system designed to maximize warehouse space utilization while maintaining fast pallet access. Operating on a Last-In, First-Out (LIFO) inventory principle, this system allows forklifts to load and retrieve pallets from a single aisle.
Each lane can store up to 5 pallets deep, making it ideal for warehouses that need higher storage density than selective pallet racking while maintaining greater accessibility than drive-in racking.
It is widely used in cold storage, food & beverage, logistics centers, manufacturing warehouses, and bulk inventory storage applications.
How Push Back Racking Works
Push back racking uses nested carts placed on inclined rails. When a new pallet is loaded, it pushes the previous pallet backward along the rails.
When a pallet is removed, the remaining pallets automatically move forward by gravity, allowing quick and efficient unloading.
This design significantly reduces aisle requirements and increases storage density.
